My name is Brikena, and I am a Special Educator working with middle school students with disabilities in a self contained setting. I was and born in a small village in southwestern Albania. When I was 19 years of age, a wonderful American family provided the opportunity to come to the U.S. and study. I received my bachelor’s degree in International Studies and two Masters in Education Leadership and Special Education at the University of Oregon.

I teach students with a wide range of Learning Disabilities, Autism, Aspergers, Mental Retardation, Emotional Disturbance, other Health Impairment, etc. I teach reading, math, writing and social skills. My primary goal is to help my students achieve educational and social goals and prepare them to become tax paying citizens.
